Then use a flat headed screw driver to fix the brackets on which you want to mount the speakers. These mounting brackets mostly come with the outside speakers and if there are no brackets then there will be holes already made at the back of the speakers to hang them. In such cases you will need only one or two mounting screws to hang the speakers. And lastly, you can install the wires into the connectors fixed in the back of the speakers and hang them on the screws or the mounting brackets.

With 21st century technology, one of the greatest gifts given to us would be the flat screen TV.

Such considerations are not needed for brick walls and you can drill the mount screws in.

Finally, to hide the wiring, the cheapest and most effective way would be to hide it behind, say the furniture that the home theater is kept on, or anything similar. Alternatively, one can consider running it through the walls by drilling holes (a professional electrician is recommended for brick walls).

For offices, it is recommended that Flat Screen Installation should be done by professionals. Just bear in mind: The TV should be elevated so as to give a clear view to all. The elevation should not cause discomfort (optimum height consideration). Speakers should be installed at corners for maximum coverage.

Be Alarmed - The Importance of Fall Prevention and Safety Monitors

Falling down for many of us is a daily occurrence in which we think little about. However, for an elderly or disabled loved one, it can be much more serious and even tragic. It is estimated that more than half of all nursing home care residents, otherwise known as long term care residents, fall yearly. Over one in four short term care, or hospitalized patients, suffers a fall during their stay. While these numbers are significant, they pale in comparison to the roughly one third of all elderly or disabled individuals who fall in their own home. The estimated healthcare costs resulting from injury, recovery and prevention is in the billions; more importantly health and quality of life are severely compromised.

The premium versions are engineered to relay through nurse call systems and wireless communicators. The pads are very basic; they come in many different shapes and sizes but more importantly they are designed to work for varying lengths of time; a pad's expected life can range from 45 days up to one year. Wireless pads have recently been introduced; removing the cord between the pad and alarm increases the flexibility of the alarm placement as it no longer needs to be within a few feet of the pad.

String alarms are another common and inexpensive system typically utilized by individuals in wheelchairs. There is a clip on one end of the string attaching to the individual and a magnet on the other end attached to an alarm. The alarm is typically clipped on a wheelchair and if for any reason the magnet is separated from the alarm, the alarm will sound. The units may also be placed beyond doors, once a door is opened, it would trip the alarm.

Wireless technology has enveloped our society and for good reason. Wireless communicators allow individuals to have more freedom in their everyday lives while still having the ability to notify others in case of a fall. The communicator can be worn on the wrist, around the neck or clipped onto clothing. They can alert a nearby nursing station or in the case of an individual in their own home, systems can initiate speaker phone communications with loved ones or emergency personnel.

Choosing the Best TV Wall Bracket

The first thing to decide is where you want to mount your TV. If it is going to be at eye level and right in front of where you always sit then a flat bracket will be fine, these keep your TV very close to the wall giving that "picture frame" look. Most arm brackets will sit approximately six inches from the wall when flat.

Arm brackets are also known as corner brackets as they are perfect when mounting your TV in the corner of the room allowing you to move them out into the room for viewing and then folding them back when not in use.

VESA spacing is the distance between the mounting holes on the back of your TV, smaller TV's tend to have VESA 100 or VESA 200 spacing, VESA 100 means there are 4 holes laid out in a square shape with 100mm between each hole. Bigger televisions usually use VESA 400, ensure the bracket you are buying is VESA compatible and it has the correct VESA fitting.

Make sure the TV bracket you buy has space to run the cabling, it's all well and good mounting your beautiful flat panel TV on the wall, but if you can't plug it in what's the point?

Decide if you want a slim bracket that gets as close to the wall as possible, if this idea appeals to you be aware you will lose swivel and tilting facilities available on other brackets which don't get as close to the wall.

Tilt brackets usually have a 15 degree tilt and are perfect for when a TV is mounted quite high, this type of bracket is essential in some cases.

Swivel brackets, there are a number of swivel TV brackets available; some incorporate the tilt facility some do not, so check this before you order. There are 2 types of swivel mechanism, a cantilever arm is often used, this type of mechanism allows the TV to be pulled out, rotated to almost any angle and pushed flat against the wall, if you need to move the TV frequently this is the type of bracket you want. The other type of swivel bracket needs to be loosened moved and tightened (usually with a screwdriver); this type is not as flexible but is more suited to locations where stability is a priority.

1) Check the overall size of your TV and the brackets max capability, also check the TV's mounting holes to ensure compatibility.
2) Think about the cabling before ordering make sure you will have room to plug your TV in and a system to take care of the loose wiring.
3) Think about where you want to place your other equipment.
4) Decide if you want a flat, tilting, or swiveling and tilting bracket.

TV Wall Mount Brackets - What You Need to Know to Install a TV Wall Mount

Getting a new TV is exciting and mounting it to the wall will ensure that it is safely out of the way of harm, as well as being convenient to view from most angles in your room.

First, you need to determine which type of TV wall mount bracket you will purchase. There are three main types: low profile, tilting and full motion.

Once you purchase the tv wall mount bracket that you will use, you need to install it, obviously. Make sure you have all of the tools that you will need before you get started.

You will need:

o Stud sensor
o Screws (the ones that come with your tv wall mount kit)
o A good drill (or a screwdriver if you like manual labor)
o Measuring tape
o Pencil
o Level

First thing, determine which wall you will be mounting the tv on. Using your eye, find the approximate place you want the tv located. Next, measure about 45 inches from the floor. Make a small pencil mark on the wall where you will be installing the bracket.

Next, using your stud sensor, locate the wall studs behind the drywall where you will be hanging your tv. You need to mount your tv wall mount bracket into solid wood (studs), not just drywall, or your tv will fall right off the wall as soon as you hang it up.

Mark the stud location with your pencil with a small "x". Next, measure the vertical distance between the screw holes on the mount. After you determine this measurement, place the mount against the wall over the mark you made previously for your stud location just about your height measurement from the floor.

Using your level, check that the location will be level once you screw the tv wall mount in. Using large screws - #14 is recommended, pre drill your holes. Next, attach the mount to the wall stud with the screws. Check again with your level to make sure it is actually level. At this point, you can decide if you would like to run your cables through the wall. Get this done first before you go further.

Once your mount is level and the cables are run, you are ready to hang your TV. There are rubber mounts on the back of most tvs that attach them to your wall mount. Hang your tv on the mount and allow it to settle securely into place. Double check to make sure your tv is securely in place before you let go of it.

Mount Your Sharp TV With Wall Brackets

If space is a problem for you in your room, and you don't know where to put your new Sharp television, why not consider wall mounting it. You might want to go for a corner mount, which comes with shelves that can hold all of your audio visual equipment. If money is no object, you may want to think about getting a motorized wall mounting system for your Sharp TV. Rather than having to manually swivel and tilt your flat screen to accommodate your seating arrangement, you simply use a remote to move the screen to the optimum position. If the sun is hitting your television screen you can tilt or turn it, without even getting up, to eliminate the glare.

Some models allow you to preset the position used most frequently, so that, when turning on the television, it will automatically go there, returning to a flat against the wall position when it is turned off. When it is not being used, it will remain in a position just an inch or so from your wall.

If you choose this high tech wall bracket system, you need to have it very carefully installed. Your wallboard should not be more than a half inch thick, and wood studs are needed. Metal wall studs will not support this system. As in any wall mount brackets, if you are not sure of the installation procedure, you would be wise to have a professional in to do the job.

A flat mount bracket is good on a large wall in a good sized room. Most popular are the swivel and tilt combination brackets, which allow you to position your television exactly where you want it, allowing you to move from chair to sofa to table, and still enjoy your program.
